Some of the most common include cisplatin, carboplatin, paclitaxel, docetaxel, and Hydroxyurea.

The epidermal growth factor receptors are proteins on the surface of cancer cells.

 These receptors stimulate the growth of cancer cells in the body.

The drug is inserted through injections directly into the blood vessels, usually once a week. 

Before you get the injections of Cetuximab, the doctor will usually give other drugs such as diphenhydramine to reduce the risk of side effects.

Everyone may require different dosages. Because, the dosage of this drug is administered based on body weight, health condition, and how your body responds to treatment. 

The initial dose starts in large quantities and is administered for 2 hours. 

If the patient can tolerate the drug, the next dose will be reduced and administered for 1 hour.

Your doctor or medical officer will supervise you for at least 1 hour after infusion is administered. 

This is done to ensure that your body does not react negatively to the drug. 

Signs when you experience a negative reaction to Cetuximab include:

  • Appears rash in acne-like skin
  • Flushed, swollen, or behaving skin
  • Eyelash or dry eyes
  • Not tasty body like sick flu

  • Sensation of chills in the skin

3. Immunotherapy
